Steve Dimmick (he/him)

Steve Dimmick is Interim Chief Executive of The Aloud Charity. A bilingual commercial and governance leader from Blaenau Gwent, Steve has spent his career working across technology, culture and the third sector, helping organisations grow their impact, strengthen sustainability and connect more deeply with their communities.

Previously Commercial Director at Awen Cultural Trust, Steve led commercial strategy across theatres, libraries, community venues and Bryngarw House. Before that, he was the founder and CEO of the Welsh tech company doopoll, whose digital engagement platform was used by organisations including Welsh Government, NatWest and the WRU.

In addition to his executive work, Steve has held several board and trustee roles across Wales’ cultural sector. He is Chair of Literature Wales, Trustee at Club Ifor Bach and previously served as Trustee with National Theatre Wales. A passionate advocate for culture, community and the Welsh language, Steve was a finalist in Welsh Learner of the Year in 2018.

As Interim Chief Executive, Steve is focused on operational leadership, financial and organisational management, governance and strategic development in helping shape the charity’s next chapter, whilst continuing to champion the life-changing impact of choral singing for young people across Wales.
