Choir Leader
Gwen Evans
Biography
Gwen has returned to her roots in Cardigan after spending most of her 20s studying and working in a variety of places around the world. In 2018, she graduated as a Music Therapist from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. This career path gave Gwen the opportunity to volunteer as music therapist in Palestine and move to New Zealand for a full-time role at Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre in Auckland. Since returning to Cardigan at the end of 2020, she has been working as the Weddings and Events manager at Cardigan Castle but hoping to provide a music therapy service in the area in the near future.
She is delighted that OBA have established choirs in the West, giving boys in the area the wonderful opportunity of being a member of a choir – choirs were central to Gwen’s childhood and youth and have given her everlasting memories, friends and experiences.
