On the 2nd November 30 participants from our Only Boys Aloud choirs in South Wales delivered a special performance for attendees at The World Cheese Awards 2022 at the International Conference Centre in Newport.
The World Cheese Awards is a global event bringing together cheesemakers, retailers, buyers, consumers and food commentators from across the world. An impressive 250 judges ranked nearly 4,000 cheeses from over 40 countries.
The 2022 event was due to be held in Ukraine, however with support from Welsh Government was instead hosted in Wales.
Only Boys Aloud participants from our Merthyr, Cwmbran, Caerphilly and Cardiff choirs performed a rousing rendition of traditional Welsh songs Sosban Fach and Calon Lân to open the judging. The day continued with the World Cheese Market, an event for anyone who buys, sells, or makes cheese in a trade environment.

The Awards were a fantastic opportunity for our Only Boys Aloud participants and we were pleased to be able to showcase young Welsh talent as part of this international event.
