Siôn-Rhys Francis

OBA

Siôn-Rhys was a member of OBA Aberdare between 2012 and 2015 and is now serving in the Royal Air Force.

We caught up with Siôn-Rhys to hear about his experiences with The Aloud Charity.

What was the best thing about being in OBA?

The best memory for me was taking part in the Buckingham Palace Coronation event – an amazing experience.

As a teenager what were your ambitions?

I sought to cease every opportunity and enjoy every moment that I could – and I was really able to do this, as a member of Only Boys Aloud for those three years.

What advice would you give to a boy who is thinking about joining OBA?

You should absolutely go for it – the opportunities that you receive are unforgettable, and the people you meet along the way are so supportive.

Can you sum up your OBA experience in 3 words?

Exciting, memorable and rewarding.
