OBA Perform at Homeless World Cup

Performances

On Saturday 27th of July 2019, members of South Only Boys Aloud had the amazing opportunity of taking part in the Homeless World Cup Opening Ceremony at Bute Park in Cardiff. The Homeless World Cup is an annual football tournament organised by the Homeless World Cup Foundation, a social organisation which advocates the end of homelessness through football. For the first time ever, Wales were the host country and it was such a privilege to sing at the Opening Ceremony. As well as the crowd of competitors and supporters, we performed in front of Mel Young, co-founder of the games and Michael Sheen who officially opened the games. We even got to meet Michael Sheen after our performance and have a photo! We were also lucky enough to sing the anthem with Shellyann Evans, winner of BBC One’s All Together Now in 2019.

A great way to end the South OBA groups summer term activities!
