Only Boys Aloud Academi is back!

OBA

After three long years, Only Boys Aloud Academi is back!

As a result of Covid-19, it is hard to believe that the last Only Boys Aloud Academi was in 2019! We are so glad that three years later, the prestigious residential programme for our most promising boys is back in action.

Our OBA Academi was established in 2011 to provide members of Only Boys Aloud showing particular musical promise access to expert and individual tuition. Run on an annual residential model, OBA Academi members receive intensive training in all aspects of general musicianship, singing and performance.

This year between 22 – 29 July, the 30 OBA Academi boys will head to Moreton Hall. Kindly supported by The Mosawi Foundation, the programme is a brilliant opportunity for the boys to develop their vocal abilities and give them a taste of being a musician in the professional world.

The course will end on a high, with a public concert in The Holroyd Community Theatre, Oswestry on Friday 29th July at 6:30pm. This will feature all the songs the OBA Academi have studied during the residential week, including Schubert, Sondheim and Stevie Wonder! Tickets are available to buy here

If you are a member of OBA Academi and have any questions about the week, please contact [email protected]
