Here at The Aloud Charity we are proud to be a Living Wage Employer.
The cost of living in the UK is at its highest rate in decades with millions of low-paid workers and their families feeling the impact of rising bills. The Living Wage movement is central to providing some relief as we collectively navigate this crisis.
The Aloud Charity is part of a growing network of over 11,000 organisations, businesses and people committed to providing a Living Wage for their employees. Living Wage Week 2022 (14th-20th November) is the annual celebration of the Living Wage movement which has lifted almost 400,000 people out of in-work poverty.
“It is important to us at The Aloud Charity that we pay people properly for the work that they do. Our staff team are key to the success of our organisation and part of the way we recognise this is through proper payments for their work. We’re really pleased to be accredited as a Living Wage employer, in this time of economic difficulty, hopefully this will provide our team with the assurance that we’re committed to them and value their contribution to our work with young people across Wales” Carys Wynne-Morgan, Chief Executive, The Aloud Charity
All of The Aloud Charity’s freelance staff are paid in line with Musicians’ Union rates. This ensures that we are both a competitive employer and can actively support the Freelance community in Wales following the financial impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic and the ongoing cost of living crisis.
Ensuring that employees are paid the Living Wage is more important than ever before.
