TWO GALA CONCERTS REARRANGED

2020 has seen the 10th Anniversary of Only Boys Aloud and earlier this year the group announced two Gala Concerts to celebrate this milestone.

Due to the ongoing situation with live performances, these Gala Concerts have now been rearranged to November 2021. The concerts will now take place at St David’s Hall, Cardiff on Sun 7th November 2021 and Venue Cymru, Llandudno on Sun 17th November 2021, both at 5pm.

Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster.co.uk and each venue’s box office. Tickets previously purchased will be honoured for the rescheduled dates. For any further ticket inquiries, please contact your point of purchase.

In March 2010, Only Boys Aloud was launched as a new initiative to get boys singing in Wales, breathing new life into the Welsh Male Choir tradition and inspiring teenage boys to find confidence, community, joy, friendship through song. No audition, no fee and inclusivity is central to the scheme.

With 13 choirs working in some of the most deprived areas in Wales, word of this phenomenon has spread throughout the globe. The boys’ Britain’s Got Talent audition clip has had well over 28 million views on YouTube and they have messages posted almost daily on their website from around the world.

Created for a one-off concert in 2010, OBA has gone from strength to strength, gaining a momentous 3rd place in ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent in 2012, performing at Buckingham Palace in 2013 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the coronation, launching a brand-new Royal Caribbean Cruise Liner, signing an album deal with Sony and much, much more.

Fast forward ten years and The Aloud Charity has now engaged with well over 1,000 boys through Only Boys Aloud choirs in North and South Wales plus they’ve also created Only Kids Aloud and the Only Boys Aloud Academi. For this extra special evening they will be bringing back some of their original boys to perform alongside all of the Aloud choirs.

With young singers from every corner of Wales, join us as we celebrate a decade and a year of music and memories with these two special gala concerts in Cardiff and Llandudno.
